On Friday and Saturday, we will pay tribute to two courageous neonatologists who wanted to end infant suffering from Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) – Dr. Audelio Rivera and Dr. George Sharpe, with the help of the community, founded Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin in 1999. In 25 years, the milk bank has provided lifesaving donor milk to babies in 286 hospitals in 45 states and one territory. So many lives saved…. thank you, George and Sonny.
