In 2011, Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin created our Lactation and Tears program to support grieving milk donors and their families. In 2021, we continued that support through the creation of a memorial garden. This memorial garden contains more than 700 stones etched with the names of bereaved mothers’ babies and provides a space for families to visit while they heal.
Below, we’ve included a series of videos our friend, video producer and storyteller Woody Harrison, created on the garden and the families who inspired it. If you would like to learn more about supporting families experiencing a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, visit Rachel’s Gift.
