Every year more than 60,000 babies in the U.S. are born too soon, too small, or too sick and require donor human milk to survive. We invite you to join us in our efforts to save the lives of medically-fragile babies by making an end-of-the-year donation in support of Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin’s annual Drops of Hope Campaign.
Our 2020 Drops of Hope fundraising goal is to raise $30,000 in support of our Charitable Care Program. A generous gift from the Carl C. Anderson Sr. & Marie Jo Anderson Charitable Foundation will match the first $10,000 donated. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Updegrove, Executive Director, at (512) 579-3972.
Rogelio was born at 36 weeks with a complicated gastrointestinal condition requiring multiple surgeries. Thanks to the ability to receive donor human milk his family was able to manage his care at home.
Our Charitable Care Program ensures that all babies with a medical need for milk, like Rogelio, are provided milk regardless of the family’s insurance coverage or financial resources.
Rogelio’s medical journey is not yet over, but he is growing and healthy because of our generous milk donors, safe milk processing, and our financial supporters.
With your help, we can ensure all vulnerable infants receive the milk. This year, we provided milk valued at over $300,000 to families with financial need and babies like Leo and Rogelio.
Because we value each of your contributions, we decided to give you a gift. Yep, you read it right! You will receive a gift from us in January according to the amount you chose to donate.
And that’s it! You provide meals to fragile babies, and we will make you, your baby, or your favorite HCP happy with our fun swags! It’s just our little way of saying, “we’re in this together.”
- Tahlia, mom of Rogelio
